Last Summer Plans in Estepona: Shopping, Food and Back to School
Summer isn’t over yet in Estepona
Summer still isn’t over in Estepona. And if you enjoy an afternoon of shopping, a walk by the sea and a little foodie treat, these final days of August come with plenty of good plans.
The seafront promenade brings together several great options for making the most of the last summer evenings, while September is already starting to appear on the horizon with the return to school and everyday routines.
A stroll among crafts, food and little discoveries
The Estepona Summer Market remains open until 6 September, with around thirty stalls offering crafts, food and attractions. The stalls open from Thursday to Sunday, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, while the attractions operate every day.
How about going home with a new book?
Very close by, you can also visit the 31st Summer Book Fair, located on the seafront promenade until 13 September. There are thousands of titles, including new releases, children’s books, history books and hard-to-find editions, and 90% of the books cost €5 or less.

It’s one of those plans that doesn’t require much organisation: a walk by the sea, discovering local crafts, browsing through books, grabbing a bite to eat and simply letting the afternoon stretch into the evening.
AN EXTRA PLAN: a traditional sardine barbecue to say goodbye to summer on 5 September, at the breakwater of Estepona’s fishing port, with a free sardine tasting.
And before September… getting ready for back to school
While we make the most of the final days of summer, September is already approaching with school, activities and the return to everyday routines.
It can be a good time to get ahead with those purchases we always seem to leave until the last minute: trainers, sportswear, backpacks or a few essentials for the new season.
Make a stop at Estepona Park, get September a little more organised… and then carry on enjoying the afternoon.

Our suggestion is simple: do a little shopping at Estepona Park and, as the sun goes down, head to the seafront promenade: the summer market, the book fair, a walk by the sea and something delicious to round off the day.
Because yes, September is getting closer… but Estepona still has plenty of summer left to enjoy.
